"Abbona is best known for her Dolcetto wines, but also produces a small quantity of Barolo from this Monforte site. The nose is stylish, with smoky, toasty red fruits. It's rich and weighty with ample fruit and succulence. Made in a broad style, it's also compact and assertive, with forceful tannins that frame the wine and give it drive.
